John Christie was a Scot who obtained his citizenship of Cracow in 1709. He was not a Catholic however, and when his wife, Elisabeth Cumming (another Scot, daughter of Thomas Cumming of Culter) divorced him John received the post of Assessor of the Supreme Magdeburg Law of Cracow CastleA.
