George Gordon was a major in Poland-Lithuania who had his noble status confirmed in 1673. This is possibly the same George Gordon who became a "stolnik" of Kiev in 1688. According to Peter Bajer this may be the same man as SSNE 6456, although the ranks and dates of confirmation do not support that assumption.B. Treliska, ed.
