Count Gustaf Eriksson Stenbock was born in 1575, and died in 1629. He later became an important Swedish politician. In 1610 he accompanied Johan Skytte [SSNE 4754] to Britain where he was knghted by Jmaes VI and I. It appears that he and his brother were tutored by the Scot Patrick Gordon [SSNE 4317].
