Elisabet Drummond was the daughter of a Scottish soldier, Francis Drummond [SSNE 2401] and Swedish noblewoman Kristina Eketrä. Her father had served as a soldier in the Swedish army in the first half of the 17th century. He is mentioned in the Swedish sources from around 1636 when he served as an ensign in the Kalmar regiment. He rose through the ranks until his death on 22 September 1656 in Neumarkt, Germany. Francis married Kristina Eketrä before 1652. He is mentioned as of noble birth in Swedish judicial records of 1654, but nowhere is it mentioned where he came from in Scotland. It was possibly this woman who was buried in Klara Kyrka in 1707 at the cost of 3rdl.

Elisabet had a sister called Beata [SSNE 6410]
