KINNAIRD, BARBARA [SSNE 6400]

Barbara Kinnaird was a Scotswoman who lived in Sweden. Her parents have yet to be named. She married William Ogilvie [SSNE 1634] in his second marriage. He died before 1613. She was perhaps the mother of Patrick Ogilvie [SSNE 3218]. Barbara then married Samuel Cockburn [SSNE 4219] who died in 1621. According to Mr Harry Kinnaird, Barbara lodged a request with the Scottish Crown in 1631 regarding her husband's estate and its transferral to her brother "a Scots laird and gentleman". Barbara may have been related to one of the several Kinnaird families who settled in Gothenburg.
