In 1626 William Peterson (SSNE 5119) and Caspar Innes (SSNE 5146) provided caution for William Weir, a Scot who was admitted a citizen of Cracow without proving his genealogy. Peterson and Innes promised to pay 50 Hungarian gold pieces if Weir defaulted. On 13 November 1626 Weir took the oath and was admitted a citizen. He paid the Treasury 100 florins, a gun, and a stone of powder. On 10 February 1627 Weir produced his birthbrieve dated Widawa 18 January 1627A.F.
