ALANDT, JOHN [SSNE 5067]
Text source
In 1598 a Scotsman called John Alandt (most likely the son of John Alanth SSNE 5066) produced a birthbrieve with the seal of Danzig dated 8 June 1592. After taking the oath and paying 10 florins he was admitted a citizen of Cracow. Finally in 1617 a widow of John Alant (not clear which one) called Anna sought confirmation of her grandson John Kramy's parentage. Anna appears to have remarried after Alant's death, and two merchant burgesses of Cracow, George Emzle (cf SSNE 5094) and Tomas Orem (cf SSNE ?) testified to the fact that Anna Aland and John Kramy were the parents of John Kramy.A.F.
