Thomas Hacker was the son of Thomas Hacker [SSNE 6242], an English preacher born in Wismar in 1615, who had moved to Goteborg by 1642 and married firstly Catherine/Christina Spalding [SSNE 6243], daughter of Hans Spalding [SSNE 4677], and secondly Anna Wiesenhoff. Thomas jr. was born in Gothenburg and worked as a superintendent at Aker's foundry and all the powder mills of Sweden in 1682. He was ennobled in 1686 and introduced the same year. Thomas Hacker jnr. married Christina Catharina Cronberg
