Johann Sering (Seringius) acted as chaplain to Queen Anna from 1589 and converted to Calvanism from Lutheranism about 1600. He was still in the Queens service in 1603, after she had allegedly converted to Catholicism from Lutheranism. In a letter from 1595, Sering signed himself of as Minister Scotus and chaplian to Queen Anna.
