Thomas Hunter is recorded as a tailor who became an alderman in Gothenburg by 1661. T. Fischer also notes Hunter as a clergyman. He may be the same man as, or related to, Thomas Hunter who on 7 November 1624 married "Elsebe" (Elisabeth? Elsebeata?) Aberback in Gothenburg. She was buried on 17 April 1667, four years after her husband was buried in Christina church on 22 January 1663. They left a son and grandsons.
