Hans Bogge was a burgess of Abo, and was of Scottish noble descent. He became 'uppsyningsman' of all the manufacturers in Abo on 9 April 1629. Between 1630-2 he also served as a councillor. He married Regina Williamsdotter and they had a son, Jakob, who was in Swedish service.
