George Hay was a lieutenant in Samuel Cockburn's [SSNE 4219] regiment of Swedish service in 1610. It was perhaps this man who as a captain in 1611-12 helped Alexander Ramsay [SSNE 230], Robert Kerr and Captain George Sinclair to recruit for Sweden on behalf of James Spens [SSNE 1642]. ...........................................................................  T.
