James Trent was quartermaster for the Swedish army in Wismar 1/5/1689. He became midshipman 1689. He was "overstyrman" 10/10/1691. In 1694 he was sublieutenant. In 1696 he became "kofferdt". He died in 1698.Biografiska Anteckningar om Officerare vid Orlogsflottan 1600-1699,p.391.
