HAJOCK, WILLIAM [SSNE 4154]

William Haijock is listed as a lieutenant in the Swedish navy from 15/6/1656-1669. He wrote to King Karl X Gustav in 1659 where he signed himself as captain of the ship Hjorten at Kalmar. He died 18/11/1673. William was the brother of Alexander Haijock [SSNE 3024] and was married to Anna Spens [SSNE 8306]. They had a daughter, Agneta Haijock [SSNE 8308].

According to the Rulla of 1658 Hayock was already captain in that same year (“Wehlem Hoijock forordnadt aff kongl. Maij:tt till Capitein effter fullmachten de dato Landzcrona den 18 Nov.”)
