Charles Seaton was the 2nd Earl of Dunfermline (1608-1673). He was known in Russia as "Lord Erhart" ie, Urquhart, one of his titles. He was a leading Covenanter and Royalist. On 20 January 1659 he signed a 3 year contract as "generalissimo" of the Tsar's forces, but soon departed. After the Restoration he obtained the Lord Privy SealD.
