George Keith became a lieutenant in Alexander/John Hamilton's regiment. This regiment was taken over by Ludovick Leslie [SSNE 396] and served at the battle of Lutzen. He was then in Robert Cunningham's recruited regiment in 1633 until 1636. As such he probably participated at the Battle of Wittstock in 1636. He later became a lieutenant in Alexander Gordon's dragoon regiment in 1637 then transferred to Francis Sinclair's regiment in 1638.
