Edvard Berendt von Jordan was the son of Edward Jordan [SSNE 2750] of Scottish descent. Edvard jr. also held land. He recruited a dragoon company and served with Gustaf Horn during king Charles X's Norwegian campaign of 1659-60. He was sent to Finland where his company was reduced in 1661. He was master of horse for the Abo cavalry in 1662. He became a major in 1679, but he left service the following year. He was naturalised, ennobled and introduced in 1680 and died in Stockholm that year.
