William Gardiner was a Captain of Horse in the Swedish army at Abo in 1636 and 1638. Given the regiment and location he may be related to another William Gardiner [SSNE 6709] who was a burgess of Abo and apparently a brother of Jacob Gardiner [SSNE 4922].
