Lewis Bellenden (f.1553-1591) was a Scottish judge, the eldest son of Sir John Bellenden. In 1578 he became justice-clerk. In 1579 he was made a privy councillor and in 1584 he served as a judge. In 1589-90 he accompanied King James VI on his matrimonial excursion to Norway and Denmark to collect Princess Anna.Dictionary of National Biography.
