BLAIR, GILBERT [SSNE 1815]
Text sourceGilbert Blair served first as an ensign in Alexander Hamilton's [SSNE 380] regiment, then as a reformed ensign in John Hamilton's [SSNE 2595] regiment, and finally as a reformed lieutenant. This regiment was taken over by Ludovick Leslie [SSNE 396] and served at the battle of Lutzen. He was probably related to Alexander Blair [SSNE 1813] as it was common for members of the same family to enlist in the same regiments/companies.
