Archibald (Balthasar) Lamb was a Scottish officer in Swedish service. He first served in 1611 and became an ensign two years later under John Campbell in the  Vastmanland regiment. Lamb was promoted to lieutenant in 1615 in which capacity he served in Johan Henriksson's company in 1619. By 1621 Lamb had his own company and served as captain in the Uppland regiment, eventually reachiing the rank of Major there in 1628. That year he transferred back to Vastmanland where he took up the role of lieutenant colonel. He was garssioned alongside John Seton's Uppland in 1629, the year he died. Lamb married Cecelia Patricksdotter Guthrie (d.07/02/1640). He is probably a relative of John (Hans) Lamb with whom he served concurrently in Uppland.
