Theophilus Eaton lived from ca.1590-1658. He served as an agent of Charles I to the court of Denmark at one point. He also acted as a commissioner for the English trading company who in April 1631 was sent from London to Elbing. He and Francis Gordon [SSNE 1520] met Chancellor Axel Oxenstierna to discuss the ongoing concerns of the English Eastland company regardig their staple at Elbing. Eaton's activities also extended to the New World as in 1629 he was the patentee and magistrate of Massachusetts and eventually migrated to America.
