Little is known about this Alexander Cunningham other than that he is recorded as 'Scotus' and that he got his education 'gratis' in Kiel. He may be the same as Mr Alexander Cunningham who later turned up in Hungary in 1671, and who applied to the Scottish Privy Council for a birthbrieve. His testimonial was signed by the Earl of Mar and also by Glencairn.
