Robert Honeywood is listed as an English agent working with Algernon Sydney [SSNE 4431] in the peace negotiations between Sweden and Denmark in 1659-1660. He also tried to intervene on behalf of some English merchants who had had their ships and good seized by the Swedes on return from Barbados in 1659. Honeywood and Sydney were on the point of travelling to Stockholm in 1660 to congratulate the Swedes on achieving peace when Honeywood fell ill and could not travel.
