Doctoral research scholarship
Professor Bridget Griffen-Foley of the Department of Media, Music, Communication and Cultural Studies at Macquarie University and Dr Chandrika Kaul of the School of History are delighted to announce that the University of St Andrews is offering a scholarship funded by St Leonard’s Postgraduate College, in partnership with Macquarie University in Australia, to support an exceptional student undertaking doctoral research on 'Serving the Public: Global Perspectives on Broadcasting and Culture with a focus on the BBC and the ABC'.
This innovative doctoral research project is an opportunity for a historical and comparative study of public service broadcasting in Britain (with the centenary of the British Broadcasting Corporation in 2022) and Australia (with the centenary of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation approaching in 2032).
