Field visit to the Highlands

Thursday 13 October 2016

DGSD Honours students visited Glentanar Estate on Royal Deeside to discuss debates surrounding upland land management.

Students taking Charles Warren's 'Environmental Management in Scotland' module enjoyed a sunny Saturday on Glentanar Estate at the eastern end of the Cairngorms National Park, discovering just how complex land use decision-making can be.

The photo below shows the Head Ranger, Eric Baird, leading a lunchtime discussion in the forest.
