Outreach work on dendrochronology

Dr Rob Wilson, delivered an invited presentation on “Lurking Logs in Lochs: tree-rings, climate and the Northern Cairngorms” at the Rothiemurchus Estate, Aviemore on the 18th November.

During his presentation, which was open to members of the public, Dr Wilson introduced the science of using-tree rings to study environmental and climate change (dendrochronology). His talk underlined how we can better understand Scotland’s climate history through the study of the nation’s forests and woodland.
