Fabulous Fife: A Geography "field classroom" on the doorstep of St Andrews!

Thursday 01 October 2015

DGSD staff (Bill Austin, Ian Lawson, Richard Streeter and Charles Warren) were in the field again this week, guiding our second year Geography students (module GG2011) over the slopes of the Lomond Hills, Fife.

The field class offers students an excellent opportunity to link lecture based teaching to the slope forming processes of the West Lomond Scarp. The students enjoyed some fantastic late summer weather (see photos below) and magnificent views over the local Fife landscape before making the short return trip to St Andrews.
