PhD student from DGSD selected for the 2015 ESRI User Conference as a Student Assistant

A first year PhD student from the Department of Geography and Sustainable Development, Noor Saeed, has been selected for the 2015 ESRI User Conference (UC) as a Student Assistant.

Based in California (USA), ESRI (Environmental Scientific Research Institute) is a leading international supplier of GIS applications, software, and geodatabase management tools. The ESRI UC is the largest GIS conference in the world. The Student Assistantship Program is an excellent opportunity for GIS students from around the world, and the selection committee appoints up to 60 students annually to attend and assist. Noor is supervised by Dr Zhiqiang Feng and Dr Jed Long.
