Friends of the Foraminifera gather in St Andrews

Bill Austin, Reader in the Department of Geography & Sustainable Development, hosted a training workshop on Foraminiferal taxonomy for European researchers this week (2-3 March).

Workshop participants gathered in the DGSD laboratories to discuss taxonomic problems ranging from the deep Pacific Ocean, the Western Atlantic Ocean, Irish Shelf and Scottish coastal waters.Participants included members of the EU initial training network on Glaciated North Atlantic Margins and the NERC BRITICE-CHRONO project.
