McKee Urges EVH Delegates to Capitalise on Indyref

Thursday 09 October 2014

In an invited presentation to the Employer’s in Voluntary Housing (EVH) annual conference, held in Crieff 3-5 October, Dr Kim McKee, lecturer in the Department of Geography & Sustainable Development, urged delegates from across the social housing sector to capitalise on the renewed interest in policy and politics driven by the Scottish independence referendum debate.

Her workshop entitled: ‘What’s the future for social housing in Scotland’? encouraged participants to identify their priorities for the sector, and also think about the opportunities and threats facing social landlords during this period of austerity, welfare reform and constitutional change.
