Kim McKee elected as the new Chair of the Housing Studies Association (HSA)

Tuesday 22 April 2014

Dr Kim McKee, lecturer in Geography & Sustainable Development has been elected as the new Chair of the Housing Studies Association (HSA).

The Housing Studies Association (HSA) is a UK learned society representing those with interests in housing-related research and education.  Established in 1990, it has become the leading independent forum for the promotion of housing studies.

Kim is the youngest Chair to be elected by the HSA, and only the second female.  In the year ahead she will prioritise the expansion of benefits for members, particularly early-career researchers.  She is also pleased to confirm that the forthcoming annual conference, co-organised by St Andrew’s colleague Dr Tom Moore, will be on the theme of  ‘Housing the Generations’ (8-10 April 2015).
