Grant success for Louise Reid and Darren McCauley

Monday 16 December 2013

Louise and Darren have secured a new research grant from The Carnegie Trust for the Universities of Scotland.

The project will explore the concept and experiences of prosumption, a term used to describe the act of simultaneously producing and consuming goods or services. Increasingly, communities and individuals across Scotland are either seeking to produce some or all of their energy and/or, are more actively engaging in customized consumption (i.e. choosing specific tariffs). The funding will be used to undertake fieldwork, largely interviews, at sites across Scotland to explore instances of energy prosumption.
