University of St Andrews

Careers Day

Tuesday 19 September 2017

A successful Careers Day for our Geography & Sustainable Development students was held on Friday 15th September.

Our Third Years were introduced to a range of different employers and their values & priorities and gained first hand insights into career journeys from our very own Alumni. Under the leadership of Pam Andrew from the University’s Careers Centre and with the help of RBS’s Verity Pole, students worked on a group exercise focusing on team work & effective communication and later on had the opportunity to network with employers and alumni. Contributors included Benjamin Kant (founder & CEO, Metropolitan Farms, Chicago), Graham Dickson (Senior Consultant, Innogy Consulting, Germany), Sophie Deans (Transport Planner/ Modeller at Transport for London), Rachel Dillon (Group Training and Development Manager, CALA Homes) and many more.
