SGSD student Bryony Kershaw awarded Research Assistantship

Tuesday 24 January 2017

Congratulations to one of our fourth year students, Bryony Kershaw, who has been successful in gaining a University of St Andrews Research Assistantship to work with Dr Louise Reid on ‘Linking higher and secondary geography education’.

This project relates directly to Louise’s ongoing ESRC funded project, ‘Smarter Homes’ and a new initiative involving Geography teachers from all 18 Fife Secondary Schools. In this project, Bryony will be working jointly with Louise, the Fife secondary schools and the Scottish Association of Geography Teachers (SAGT) to help with the development of Higher Geography teaching materials. They also hope to also be able to submit a joint publication to the Journal of Geography in Higher Education about their experiences.
