DGSD supports Transition University of St Andrews

Friday 09 December 2016

DGSD students were, in 2009, instrumental in setting-up the Transition University of St Andrews movement, part of the UK-based Transition initiative, which has been expanding worldwide over the last 5 years.

Sustainable Development programme and PhD alumnus Dr Katherine Ellsworth-Krebs is now employed by Transition and recently met-up with DGSD HoD (Professor Bill Austin) at one of the regular “Bike to Work Breakfast” events. The event coordinator was Lara Fahey, Transition's campus cycling officer. Lara graduated with a degree in Biology earlier this year and is now also working full-time for Transition.

The final Bike to Work breakfast for 2016 will be held on Monday 12th December from 8am - 9am in the Mansfield Building. Select the Facebook event link for further information.
