Where is she now? Since her defence, Dr Cheung has been employed as a Research Associate on the Dynamics of World Cinema project in the Centre for Film Studies at St Andrews and as Assistant Professor in Culture, Creativity and Management at the United International College, Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong baptist University in China. She is currently working on a monograph about New Hong Kong Cinema for Berghahn Books and is E-marketing consultant for the Aldeburgh Documentary Festival.

Dr Fredrik Gustafsson

Thesis: Hasse Ekman – a question of authorship in a national context (Defended 2012)

Where is he now? Dr Gustafsson works at the Swedish Film Institute and he continues to write on cinema in multiple sites, including a regular DVD column in a Swedish film magazine and his blog Fredrik on Film.

Dr Matthew Holtmeier

Where is he now? Dr Holtmeier has accepted a post as Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow in Screen Studies in the Cinema, Photography, and Media Arts program at the Roy H. Park School of Communications, Ithaca College. He will be moving there from Washington where he worked at Western Washington University as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Film Studies.

Dr Lars Kristensen

Where is he now?  Dr Kristensen worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Central Lancashire before taking a post as Lecturer in Gaming at Högskolan I Skövde/University of Skövde in Sweden. In 2012, Routledge published his edited collection Postcommunist Film- Russia, Eastern Europe and World Culture.
