PhD Success: Congratulations to Diana Popa

 

We’re delighted to report that Diana Popa (supervisor: Professor Richard Dyer) has been awarded her PhD for her thesis ‘The Specificity of Aesthetics of Slowness in Contemporary Romanian Cinema’.

Her examiners congratulated Diana for the productive and original contribution her work makes to the field, illuminating slow cinema and its variations in regards to formulating her argument concerning the specificity of slowness in Romanian cinema, and doing justice to the passion and commitment to her field of study in the process.
