Description
Research presentation by Professor Malte Hagener, Professor for Media Studies with a focus on film history, aesthetics and theory at the Philipps-Universit├Ąt Marburg. His publications include 'Film Theory: An Introduction Through the Senses' (with Thomas Elsaesser, 2007); 'Moving Forward, Looking Back: The European Avant-garde and the Invention of Film Culture, 1919-1939' (2007); 'Media Culture and Education: Aesthetic Education in the Age of Digital Networks' (co-edited with Vinzenz Hediger, 2015); 'The State of Post-Cinema' (co-edited with Vinzenz Hediger and Alena Strohmaier, 2016); and 'Empathy in Film' (with Ingrid Vendrell Ferran, 2017).
