How to Recycle Batteries

The University uses the recycling scheme BatteryBack for our battery recycling.

BatteryBack boxes are located in key locations in the University and looked after by our Environmental Facilitators (Excel, 18 KB) and specified members of staff due to the potentially reactive nature of batteries.

Not every location currently has a BatteryBack box but if you are committed to recycling and want to take an active role in helping the University reduce waste

Contact the Environment Team (environment@st-andrews.ac.uk) to request a BatteryBack box for your workplace.
