Katharine Isabel Rhodes

Education and Experience

Kate studied Creative Writing at the University of Oxford, graduating in 2017. Her final portfolio entwined themes of memory and gender identity while examining the history of butterfly collecting. Alongside a deeper exploration of these themes Kate's writing reflects her interests in social satire, feminism and mental health. Throughout her time at Oxford she also studied journalism through News Associates in London, and worked as a Bookseller at Waterstones.

For her undergraduate degree, Kate studied Psychology at the University of Reading, graduating in 2012 with a BSc (Hons). Prior to pursuing a career in writing Kate worked in the building services and construction industry as an Environmental Manager.
