What is Theological? Day Conference

14 March 2014, St Mary's College, University of St Andrews

What is it that makes the practice of ethics or politics, the interpretation of Scripture or the interpretation of art, a distinctly “theological” undertaking? What does the adjective add to each of those endeavours—if anything? And what does this reveal about the nature and ends of theology as discipline?

The faculty of St Mary’s College warmly invites the public to attend, ‘What Is Theological?’, a day conference exploring the nature of theology. The Conference will be held in the Boardroom at The Gateway on North Haugh in St. Andrews. Speakers include:

  • Phil Ziegler (Aberdeen)
  • William Wood (Oxford)
  • John Webster (St.Andrews)
  • Martin Westerholm (St.Andrews)

Registration Cost £5 (No charge to students of St Mary’s). Refreshments will be provided. Register on the online shop. Early registration is encouraged as spaces are limited.
