Friends of St Mary's

Aims

The aims of the Friends are:

  • promoting the reputation of the College and the School of Divinity that is hosted within it;
  • connecting the friends of St Mary's of the past with the friends of the present and the future;
  • engaging with local and academic communities in the work of the School of Divinity;
  • connecting with alumni groups in different countries and regions;
  • facilitating attendance at conferences organised by the School of Divinity;

Benefits

Being a Friend of St Mary's College brings you:

  • the opportunity to participate in events, such as lectures, conferences, and symposia;
  • the opportunity to participate in the annual reception of Scottish Universities at the Society of Biblical Literature or American Academy of Religion meetings;
  • a regular electronic update on news and developments in the College;
  • the chance to contribute to the academic life of the community of St Mary's, the College and its beautiful grounds.

As a Friend of St Mary's you will contribute to the future of St Mary's College by means of its endowment.  This endowment will support a range of initiatives within the College, which may include the provision of student scholarships, the purchase of books and other resources and the funding of capital projects.
