Evaluating success

The success of your social media channels will depend on the objectives you set out in your social media strategy.

For each objective you set, you should also set corresponding key performance indicators (KPIs) and a deadline date you want to achieve this by.

People often assume that success in social media is measured by the number of likes or followers you have; however, these do not necessarily indicate whether your posts are successful.

Facebook, Twitter and Instagram all provide detailed analytics which you can access to help decide on your KPIs.

You should use analytical data to continuously update your social media strategy and improve the content you are sharing with your audience.
