Saturday 24 June - Castle Course, St Andrews

Opened in 2008, the Castle Course is the newest addition to St Andrews Links at the Home of Golf. Set on a rugged cliff-top, this par-71 course offers spectacular views over the bay to St Andrews.

The price for this very special day is £250 per person and includes an 18-hole round of golf for one on the Castle Course, hospitality at the course including a pre-round coffee and bacon roll and an exclusive Saints Golf gift bag. The day will conclude with a closing dinner and prize-giving. 

Prizes will be awarded for the best players, including 'nearest the pin' and 'best team' and any proceeds from the event will help support the Arnold Palmer Scholarship and the Saints Golf Programme for talented student golfers at the University.

Summer Meeting of the General Council - 24 June 2017

Description
The summer meeting of the General Council will take place on Saturday, 24 June 2017 at 10.30am in Parliament Hall, South Street, St Andrews, with tea/coffee available from 10.00am. We hope that members of the General Council (whose membership includes all graduates of the University) will take advantage of this opportunity to hear first hand about the University’s recent achievements and the challenges it faces. The Chancellor, The Rt Hon Lord Campbell of Pittenweem, will preside. The Principal and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sally Mapstone, will give the University Address and, together with the Dean of Arts and Divinity, Professor Paul Hibbert, will give a joint presentation entitled "Excellence has no limits: investing in equality, diversity and inclusion". The Vice-Principal (Governance and Planning), Alastair Merrill, will provide an update on University Governance issues. The Business Committee Report will be delivered by the Convener, Graham Wynd.

Patrons’ Programme – 14 and 15 September 2017

For the past three years the University has offered parents, donors, alumni and friends the opportunity to take a ‘behind-the-scenes’ look at life in St Andrews. On Thursday 14 and Friday 15 September the Development team will once again be hosting this highly successful Patrons’ Programme, which offers a chance to soak up the full St Andrews experience: meet and attend talks by some of our leading academics; receive exclusive updates on our many ongoing projects; and gain private access to local historic sites and residences.
