Happy 50th birthday Dundee

At midday on Wednesday 14 June St Andrews welcomed the University of Dundee’s 50th Anniversary Charity Challenge team for birthday cake and a short ceremony to mark Dundee’s historic links with St Andrews.

The team – led by the University of Dundee’s Principal Professor Pete Downes and his wife Elizabeth – cycled, rowed and ran the 50 miles from Kirkcaldy to Dundee. They called in at St Salvator’s Quad where they met Principal Professor Sally Mapstone to exchange gifts and enjoy a slice of birthday cake.

Friday 16 June saw student representatives from St Andrews join their Dundee counterparts to recreate the old tradition of climbing the Law Hill.
