Finding FELLINI

Charles Ketcham, Ph.D 1956

"Finding FELLINI", by author and photographer Charles Ketcham, presents a new insight into the creative thinking and writing of the great Italian cinema director, Federico Fellini.

The book is an autobiographical account of Ketcham's Kafkaesque visit to Rome, 1973, to interview Fellini. In the interview, published here for the first time, Fellini cites the influence of the 19th century Italian historical and political philosopher Giambattista Vico for his cinema creations. Enhanced by 23 art photographs by Ketcham who sees around him not the usual cinema locations but rather the Rome Fellini loves and portrays there.

The book concludes with a photocopy of a personal hand-written letter from Fellini to Ketcham.
