This residential conference at the University of St. Andrews is a gathering of academics, practitioners and researchers who focus on the teaching, research, theory and practice of social, environmental and sustainability accounting and reporting.  The spirit of the conference is interdisciplinary and so submissions are also invited from perspectives beyond accounting.

The Emerging Scholars Colloquium (ESC) aims at introducing emerging scholars into the social and environmental accounting research community, and providing them an opportunity to present and discuss their research projects alongside a cohort of distinguished international faculty.

12th Spanish Conference on Social and Environmental Accounting Research

The Conference aims to provide a space of academic discussion regarding social and environmental accounting issues. The Conference gives the opportunity to share with the academic community emerging and advanced research papers and projects. 18th Australian Conference on Social and Environmental Accounting Research 

The School of Accounting at University of New South Wales looks forward to welcoming you at the 18th Australasian Centre for Social and Environmental Accounting Research (ACSEAR) Conference, to be held at the Australian Graduate School of Management, Australia on 11-13 December 2019.

The theme of the conference is “Rebuilding trust through transparency” and the plenary speakers include: Prof Steven Cahan of University of Auckland, Professor of Practice Merran Kelsall, UNSW Sydney, Mardi McBrien of the Climate Disclosure Standards Board and Assoc Prof Justine Nolan, UNSW Law.

The Emerging Scholars’ Colloquium (ESC) will be held on 11 December 2019 and the main conference on 12?13 December 2019 with a gala dinner on 12 December 2019.

  • Response to authors: 30 October 2019
  • Early bird registration deadline: 15 November 2019
  • Registration opens on 23rd August 2019.

Please note that the 8th CSEAR North America Conference will immediately precede the 2020 Critical Perspectives on Accounting Conference. Both events will be held in Toronto at the Schulich School of Business, at York University. The university is now connected to downtown Toronto by subway, bringing the amazing dining, entertainment, and accommodation options of one of the world's' most culturally diverse cities within easy reach of conference participants.
