In line with the Scottish Government’s route map out of the Covid-19 lockdown, new employees who can travel safely to St Andrews are asked to plan to be in St Andrews for the start of their contracts. University buildings are gradually re-opening in preparation for the start of the semester.

The questions below are designed to assist with your planning and to provide you with information you may need to consider prior to your arrival in St Andrews.

Due to the changing nature of the situation, the main premise of these guides is that you should check most recent government guidance before you travel and take personal responsibility for understanding quarantine requirements and how they apply.

Scotland has taken a particularly cautious approach to managing the Covid-19 crisis, so you must also be aware that behavioural expectations may be different in Scotland to those in England and elsewhere.

Safety is at the forefront of all that we are doing to enable you to start work with us.

We have provided important information to our students for their journey to St Andrews, but you may also find some of the information helpful when making your plans.
