MUSA, the Museum of the University of St Andrews, is currently closed for a period of refurbishment. When the Museum re-opens in late 2019 it will have two new galleries, a studio space, a new reception entrance area and new environmental controls all of which will allow us to produce exciting new programmes of exhibitions and events for all to enjoy.

Whilst MUSA is closed the University's other venues will be accessible. The Bell Pettigrew Museum is open to visitors during the summer months on Tuesday and Friday afternoons from 2pm to 5pm and visitors can view the Collections Centre in North Street by appointment. The Museums will also have a continuing varied events programme at various locations in and around St Andrews.  For more details and for updates on the extension project please see the Museum news webpages. You can find information about current exhibitions at other venues online and you can also view and search the collections online.

For general enquiries during this period please contact the Museums by email at or by calling (01334) 46 1711 or 46 1660.
